    I wish they would have done more songs outside of the Beach Boys earlier stuff, it would have worked really well for them.

    Always think one mic suits vocal groups rather than everyone having one Really like this though, so much better than, for example, the pentatonix version. Thanks for posting 😁

    As much as I hate to criticize a world renowned quartet, I have to say they sure did run through it. They really need to ring some of those awesome chords for longer.

      Try to find some of their more recent recordings of this song and they have fixed most of the minor issues such as that. And I do see what you mean about the chords needing to be rung longer, another example would be "You can fly". But, either way, amazing performance! (In my opinion)

      Also, even though it may not be great (Your opinion), there is a reason that they won! XD

    I'm always puzzled why there is so much talking at the afterglows (not that this is one) when a world class group is performing up close and personal...sometimes you can hear doors slamming, bus carts rattling across the floor and people laughing...for me it would be really distracting to perform in such a din

    These guys are most famous for being a champion barbershop quartet, but remember that they went to a specialist music school and have a very diverse range of musical skills and interest, and it's fantastic to see them doing some non 'a cappella' singing too.

      As someone who avidly sings barbershop, I think that people who call themselves "barbershoppers" and have never branched outside of that tend to be very limited in their abilities. The best barbershop singers I have met have all been actual trained musicians.

    I've heard better versions, but I wasn't bitching I was just stating my opinion. BTW, it's 'no one'...."noone" isn't a word :~)

  • @MrMorningfly
    @MrMorningfly 11 років тому

    Yeah, that's the point. Just because they usually sing barbershop doesn't mean that EVERYTHING they sing is barbershop. But then again, maybe everyone doesn't realize that. Noone said that this particular performance is barbershopmusic. Stop bitching and start appreciate the music for what it is.

  • @JimmyKraktov
    @JimmyKraktov 11 років тому

    To me Barbershop is vocal only. Folk music with electric guitars and drums isn't folk music. I'm funny that way.
